🔌Guide to Add Holonym Stamp to Gitcoin Passport

10 minute process

Before you start, make sure you have:

• A smartphone with a camera and internet.

• A current and valid identity document like a passport or driver’s license​​.

• An Ethereum wallet with at least ~$10 worth of ETH if using Optimism or the equivalent in AVAX for Avalanche​​.

• A Gitcoin Passport account.

Networks you can use:

• Ethereum Layer 1 (mainnet)

• Avalanche (L1)

• Optimism (Eth L2)

Get the Holonym Stamp

1. Visit Holonym's issuance page on your smartphone.
2. Click ‘Verify quickly and easily’

3. Connect your wallet that has at least $10 of Eth
4. Choose ‘Government ID’ to verify.
5. Then click ‘Verify’.
6. Pay the fee choosing from Eth (L1), Optimism L2, or Aurora (NEAR).

7. Scan the QR code shown on your screen to continue on mobile.

8. Follow prompts to take pictures of your ID and a selfie.

9. After verifying, mint the SBT to the wallet linked to your Passport​​.
10. Go back to your Gitcoin Passport, connect the wallet, and click ‘Verify’ to verify the Holonym Stamp.

By following this step, your Gitcoin Passport will be equipped with the Holonym stamp, showcasing a verified identity in a secure and private manner.
